Two thousand years ago, the Roman Empire ruled the Mediterranean — and now it's your turn to guide a dynasty. In Concordia, you'll send colonists to settle cities producing bricks, food, tools, wine, and cloth, all while expanding your trade network and earning the favor of ancient gods. This is a peaceful strategy game of economic development — no dice, no luck, just sharp planning.
Each player starts with an identical set of playing cards and acquires more throughout the game. These cards do double duty: they let you choose actions during play and score victory points at the end. Watch your rivals closely — you'll need to anticipate their goals and outpace them without direct conflict. The game board is modular, offering two sides: one shows the entire Roman Empire with 30 cities (for 3–5 players), the other Roman Italy with 25 cities (for 2–4 players). Every game plays differently thanks to the variable city layout and the ever-changing sequence of new cards for sale.
The game ends when all cards are sold or the first player builds their 15th house. Then, the gods judge your empire: Jupiter, Saturnus, Mercurius, Minerva, Vesta, and others award victory points based on your achievements. The player with the most points wins. Concordia rewards advanced planning, careful resource management, and a keen eye on your opponents — all wrapped in a theme of peaceful Roman prosperity.
